In animal studies, restoring this bacterium reduced disease markers and improved immune regulation, offering hope for future treatments. Scientists believe the microbe helps maintain a healthy gut barrier and reduces inflammation by supporting fiber digestion. Although more human research is needed, the findings highlight the growing role of the gut microbiome in autoimmune diseases and the potential for targeted probiotic therapies.
